Individual Coaching
Individual coaching is suited for managers and executives who want to take a step back and work on an individual basis in order to improve their effectiveness and progress more quickly and easily towards their goals.
Here are some examples of challenges I have helped my clients deal with successfully:
- Leadership development: developing leadership abilities and attitudes, improving delegation skills, maximizing personal effectiveness…
- Enhance collaboration: Developing cohesion within the team. Communicating more effectively with superiors, colleagues or peers. Developing emotional intelligence. Handling conflicts in a constructive way.
- Implementing change within an organization: implementing changes in a successful way, in order to get the results you aim for and effectively engage the different stakeholders in the process
In order to meet your exact requirements and desired outcomes, we go through an effective process with well-defined steps.
Phase 1: Evaluation and Goal Setting
An initial meeting allows me to understand the context and clarify your expectations. A contract specifies the objectives of the coaching, the indicators measuring success, the roles, responsibilities, work arrangements, duration and frequency of coaching sessions.
Phase 2: Personalized Coaching sessions
During each session we work on a new milestone that will help you move toward your overall goals. For your convenience these sessions can be conducted either by phone or in person.
Depending on the situation, I use different approaches that help you to move forward, these may include a systemic approach, emotional intelligence, or a profile of personalities and roles. We may also include techniques such as action learning, role play and video feedback.
During our calls we will discuss the best ways to overcome challenges, identify resources and evaluate possible options to produce new results.
Between sessions, you will have homework where you will perform specific actions to practically apply what you are learning during the session to reinforce the new learning and make sure that you are consistently moving toward your goals.
Phase 3: Evaluation and Perspectives
At the end of the coaching, we review the process in order to verify the achievement of goals and identify “lessons learned” and how they will be useful in other situations. We’ll also discuss further actions that you can implement in the future that will allow you to keep up your dynamic progression and ensure ongoing sustainability of the progress you’ve made.
More benefits that you can expect from individual coaching:
- The benefits depend on your particular situation. Benefits my clients mention frequently:
- We define a concrete action plan to help you achieve the desired outcomes.
- You have at your disposal tools to manage in complex situations
- You handle tensions and conflicts in a constructive way
- Your position yourself in an easier and more impactful way, using your strengths and assets
- You gain credibility as a leader
- You make your successes more visible
The effects of coaching far outreach the actual situation on which we work together. Identifying lessons learned will help you to transfer the new learning to other situations or future projects.
I am looking forward to partnering with you on your challenges and help you grow to the next level of success.
